Uju Ndubuisi Was Killed, Nigerians Insist, Slam Abike Dabiri, S/African Hotel

Nigerians, both at home and diaspora, have alleged that the late Deputy Director General of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria [CIIN], Mrs. Uju Ndubuisi-Chukwu was murdered and have asked the federal government to increase the tempo in the search for the cause of her death, as well as the perpetrators.

Mrs. Ndubuisi-Chukwu was in South Africa to attend the conference of the African Insurance Organisation (AIO) but was found dead in her hotel room in Johannesburg on June 13, 2019.

Stating the result of search for the cause of her death, the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa has suggested that Mrs. Ndubuisi-Chukwu’s death is “unnatural”, and suspected “stangulation”.

In an update on the mysterious nature of her death, Dabiri-Erewa wrote:

“Update on Ndubuisi. Our CG in SA along with the deceased’s brother are on the sad incident. Cctv showed no one entered the room. Autopsy showed she died of unnatural cause. An  officer from the HC detailed on the case, working with SA police. Will keep you updated.”

Reacting to the statement, Nigerians have heightened suspicion that the CIIN D-DG was actually murdered.

The contributors accused the South African hotel, Emperors Palace, of complicity in the murder of Mrs. Ndubisi-Chukwu.

One of such leading voices, the former chairman of National Human Rights Commission [NHRC], Prof. Chidi Odinkalu taking to his Twitter handle, said:
