UNN expels final year students over examination fraud

The management of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka has expelled two students over examination fraud

The two expelled final students were in the Department of political science and Sociology and Anthropology, respectively which is under the Faculty of the Social Science

Their expulsion from the school was contained in a memo issued by the University’s Registrar, Dr Nelson Obetta and dated 6 of July 2021

The memo reads, “This is to inform you that Senate, at its 407th Meeting held on Wednesday 30th June 2021, considered its paper 405/17 which contained the recommendations of its examination malpractice committee, and approved that the underlisted two students should be expelled from the university having been found guilty of impersonation under Category “A: offence, in line with Chapter 3.9 of the Undergraduate Academic Regulations.

“They are: Okorie, Success (2015/203688) – Department of Political Science

“Oparaeke Akwaugo (2016/231502) – Department of Sociology and Anthropology

“You are requested to take action in line with the above decision of the Senate and inform all concerned accordingly
