Pandemonium has broken out in Kano State House of Assembly on Monday following a free-for-all fight over the probe of Kano Emir Muhammad Sanusi II.
Trouble started between the Deputy Speaker and chairman of the Public Complaints and Petition Committee, Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari over the ongoing investigation over petitions of alleged violation of the culture, tradition and religious values by Emir Sanusi.
Trouble broke out when Chidari, in his attempt to make observation known to members, was instantly opposed by members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Assembly.
Then ensued total breakdown of law and order which culminated into a physical combat with the opposition members struggling to take control of the mace.
The mace was eventually rescued by security men and the Sergeant of Arm attached to the Assembly.
The whole fracas lasted over 20 minutes before sanity was restored and the Assembly proceeded to a 30-minute break.
