US Begins Repatriation of its Citizens from Nigeria over Possible outbreak of Coronavirus


United States Mission in Nigeria has began to repatriate its citizens from the country over possible outbreak of Coronavirus the in most populous black nation in the world.

This was made known through the verified twitter handle of US mission in Nigeria.

US Embassy said, “At our Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria, our staff are working tirelessly to identify transportation for U.S. citizens seeking to return to the United States.

“Please note that all individuals who choose to return to the U.S. on a flight organized by the U.S. Department of State will be required to sign a promissory note to pay for the full cost of the seat(s) on the flight.”

As at the time of filing this report only 89 cases of reported cases is in the country while the USA has over 100,000 reported cases of Coronavirus.

The US has become epicenter of Coronavirus in the world as at time of filing this report.

As at 04:00pm 28th March there are 89 confirmed cases of #COVID-19 reported in Nigeria. 3 have been discharged with 1 death.
