VIDEO: Who is delaying release of $550m Abacha loot that U.S agreed to release since 2015?
An international political analyst, Mr. Akib Abiola has raised concern over the delays in releasing the $550 million loots that the government of the United States has agreed to release since 2015.
The video shown below titled “NIGERIA’S MISSING BILLIONS – How Sani Abacha ripped off his country with the help of Western bankers“, documented how General Sani Abacha battered Nigeria economically and politically.
According to the video, $267 million has been seized from bank accounts in the island of Jersey.
It belonged to the son of General Abacha, the military leader who ruled Nigeria with an iron fist from 1993 until 1998.
Abacha embezzled $5 billion from Nigeria, and stashed it in bank accounts throughout Europe and America.
The question on the lips of observers is how he was able to get away with it.
Reacting, Mr. Abiola observed:
“First they said Abacha never looted. Then when convenient they used Abacha’s repatriated loots as Tradermoni to win elections.”
Tsurumiku Taro, an international observer, in reaction, wrote:
“Sani Abacha died but the corrupt system still in charge of the country by the deep state it self under orders of foreign powers through the ambassadors or multinational corporation.
“If Nigerians do not purge the whole system from corrupt officials nothing will change.
“The dictatorship can’t function with out that supports of all the state’s branches.
“I can assure you that the $ 1 billion recovered will be stolen by others.”
