There are lots of injustice in this country, a situation where Nigeria Police will hold someone in its custody without thorough investigation is uncalled for. How can one be locked up without proper charge in the court of law.
All well meaning Nigerians should rise up now, and condemn these impunity, called incessant arrest, by Nigerian Police.
Enough is Enough!
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
It is becoming systemic and systematic, the efforts to silence all voices that may appear loud against this “democratic” junta. Now SESSNeT knows the pain that MASSOB felt. A bully when ignored is emboldened. My words were SESSNeT has its role to play and so did MASSOB. Rather than demonize MASSOB, we ought to key into their actions and work out a loose cooperation enhancing each other’s values.
The impunity will only increase and is aimed at silencing opposition voices prior to 2019 elections. As we get closer to the elections, mark my words, the impunity from this junta will escalate. We need to fashion out an approach that will ensure both our success and our survival pre and post 2019 elections.
