Why “Atiku is Coming” ~ By Eneh Victor Chigozie
If there is no Nigeria Factor, then Atiku is Coming.
The manner President Buhari, APC and INEC closed their cases at the presidential election petition tribunal is an indication that Atiku has a strong legal team.
As at yesterday, President Buhari’s lawyer, chief Wole Olanipekun hurriedly asked for adjournment when Atiku’s lawyer, Mr Livy Uzukwu gallantly used his technical questions during cross examination to expose all hidden lies in the exhibits tendered at the tribunal.
After the panel adjourned to today, to enable president Buhari and his lawyer get their acts together and present more witnesses the tribunal resumed this morning and surprisingly, Chief Wole Olanipekun Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), announced to the five-man tribunal led by Justice Mohammed Garba that his team was satisfied with the seven witnesses they had led, and thereby closed their case.
When the tribunal sought the reaction of the APC’s lawyer, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), whom it was his turn to open his client’s defence, he said he and members of his team also found it unnecessary to call any witness. APC also closed her case abruptly.
Let me state clearly, that whichever way this case goes, Mr Livy Uzukwu, SAN is truly a learned gentleman.
The manner he used the witnesses called by Mr President to turn the case around and created panic is commendable.
If technicality is not employed here and Nigeria factor turned down, then, Atiku may come.
